Missing CLVM on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux cluster node with clustered volume groups
Issue
- A cluster is configured to run
clvmdto manage clustered volume groups. One of the cluster nodes is missingclvmd, so clustered services cannot fail over to that node. Since the locking type was set to 1 in/etc/lvm/lvm.confon each node, this issue did not cause issues starting the cluster services. In addition, rgmanager shows "1 failed" in itscman_tool servicesoutput, indicating that one of the nodes acknowledged that it could not start the clustered services in the case of a failover. We need to get CLVM running on both nodes and restore a supported failover environment.
