/dev/cdrom symlink disappearing when in Gnome and a disc is attached into virtual cdrom
Issue
The logged in as root in Gnome and a disk is attached into the a virtual cdrom, the /dev/cdrom disappears.
Accessing the cdrom via the actual device name (i.e. /dev/sr0) is still possible.
Environment
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
