Large number of CLOSE_WAIT sockets on JBoss server from http mod_proxy connections
Issue
- We have EWS servers as a reverse proxy for JBoss backend servers. We notice high number of close waits for Jboss JVM and thread count pool maxes out. We need to restart JVM to get out of this state.
Environment
- JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
- httpd using mod_proxy
