[RHEL6] ALUA mode for EMC Clariion storage not working

Issue

  • The error below is seen in logs when ALUA is configured
        device-mapper: multipath: Could not failover the device: Handler scsi_dh_alua Error 15.
        device-mapper: multipath: Failing path 8:16.
        device-mapper: multipath: Could not failover the device: Handler scsi_dh_alua Error 15.
        device-mapper: multipath: Failing path 8:32.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • EMC Clariion storage
  • device-mapper-multipath
