We have cleared the FS corruption by using fsck manually on each FS, now DB team is complaining that DB FS corruption is re-occuring for them.

Issue

  • The following error is being observed:
Logical drive 0 of Array Controller in slot 1: surface analysis has detected inconsistent data.
  • Repeated filesystem corruption is occurring. Running fsck fixes for a while, then problem happens again.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.6
  • Oracle Database
