How can I find the status of a VDB via the DV adminshell?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • One thing we noticed is that even with a small VDB, if we use the adminshell with the deployment groovy script, it does not reliably set the connection options for versioning because there appears to be a delay after issuing the deploy command and when the .vdb becomes “ACTIVE”. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. There doesn’t appear to be anything we can put into the groovy script to check the status of the vdb before trying to change the connection settings. hasVDB() will show us that the vdb exists, but it won’t tell us the status of it.
