Are JBoss Fuse and JBoss A-MQ affected by the OpenSSL Heartbleed bug?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Environment

  • JBoss Fuse 6.0
  • JBoss A-MQ 6.0
  • Fuse ESB Enterprise 7.x
  • Fuse MQ Enterprise 7.x

Issue

  • Are JBoss Fuse and JBoss A-MQ affected by the OpenSSL Heartbleed bug?

  • Is OpenSSL used within JBoss Fuse or JBoss A-MQ and if so, which version?

Resolution

None of the Fuse products (JBoss Fuse 6.x, JBoss A-MQ, Fuse ESB Enterprise and Fuse MQ Enterprise) use openssl and hence they are not affected by this security vulnerability. Their SSL layer is entirely Java based.
