spacewalk-dump-schema contains ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

  • You have followed Step 1 in the upgrade document:
cd /etc/sysconfig/rhn/satellite-upgrade/scripts
 ./spacewalk-dump-schema | \
     bzip2 -7c - | \
     split -d -b 2147483648 - /some/storage/path/schema-dump
  • Aborted the spacewalk-dump-schema by (e.g.) pressing CTRL-C

  • Started Step 1 again and get the following error:

DBD::Oracle::st execute failed: ORA-00955: name is already used by an existing object (DBD ERROR: error possibly near <*> indicator at 
char 14 in ' CREATE TABLE <*>rhnPackageChangeLogData [...] at /etc/sysconfig/rhn/satellite-upgrade/scripts/spacewalk-dump-schema 
line 208.
