sssd_be segfaults with "error 4 in libsss_ldap.so"

Issue

We've configured SSSD for authentication. Often when a user logs in or displays accounts sssd_be consumes almost all CPU resources and segfaults.
Example:

sssd_be[3325]: segfault at 0 ip 00007ffd343418ae sp 00007fffeb0588e0 error 4 in libsss_ldap.so[7ffd34275000+153000]

We're running current RHEL 6.5 and sssd-1.9.2-129.el6_5.4.x86_64.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
  • sssd-1.9.2-129.el6_5.4
