Disks not getting initialized while installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 using Kickstart file on HP DL380 Gen8

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • While installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4 x86_64 on a new HP DL380 Gen8 server, disks are not getting initialized. The kickstart file is there on the disk partition, so the following error appears.
"Unable to download the kickstart file. Please modify the kickstart parameter below or press Cancel to proceed as an interactive installation."
HD:sda1:/ks.cfg
  • The server contains 21 600G disks configured as a 6TB (raid 10) logical volume from the disk controller.
  • While testing on this hardware using only a 10 disk Raid 1+0, the install completes, why does the installation not moving further with 21 disks?

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.4
  • HP DL380 Gen8
