"Connection to [an external REST URL] refused" from RESTEasy client in EAP 6

Issue

  • We are getting the below exception when we try to use Yahoo Weather API in JBoss EAP 6:

    Caused by: org.apache.http.conn.HttpHostConnectException: Connection to http://query.yahooapis.com refused

  • The web service we are using is:

    http://query.yahooapis.com/v1/public/yql?q=select%20wind%2Catmosphere%2Citem%20from%20weather.forecast%20where%20woeid%3D1105779&format=json&diagnostics=true&callback=

  • Is there any way to allow access to query.yahooapis.com?
