Rhel5.10 Application sees its fd open file list growing with hundreds of defunct fd entries
Issue
- User Socket Server would see its fd list growing into the hundreds and thousands. Eventually left as it, it would finally terminate unable to allocate any more fd's
Environment
- RedHat Enterprise Linux
- Discovered on RHEL5.10 2.6.18-371.1.2.el5.x86_64
- May be possible on other releases
- Utilizing SEOS software from CA
