Creating a resource in a group with pcs attempts to start it on the wrong node and sometimes causes fencing in RHEL 6

Issue

  • When I create a new resource in an existing group with pcs resource create [...] --group <group>, it tries to start on the wrong node and fails.
  • After I create a resource in a group with pcs, a node gets fenced.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6 with the High Availability Add On
  • pacemaker
  • pcs releases prior to 0.9.90-2.el6_5.3
  • Creating a resource in an existing group with pcs resource create [...] --group <group>
