How do I disable HTTPS SSL secure access to the admin console in Red Hat Directory Server
Issue
It may be necessary to temporarily disable the SSL configuration of the Admin server in Red Hat Directory Server/RHDS, to not use anymore the secure console access.
Note this is about the administration service only, and not about changing the SSL configuration of the LDAP service for LDAPS.
Scenario example: Admin Console access failing with error in the admin server logs:
[Mon Mar 03 20:00:51 2014] [error] NSS_Initialize failed. Certificate database: /etc/dirsrv/admin-serv.
[Mon Mar 03 20:00:51 2014] [error] SSL Library Error: -8038 SEC_ERROR_NOT_INITIALIZED
In this case, attempts to reverse the steps defined in the documentation were unsuccessful:
* How can I enable TLS/SSL on the admin consdole for Red Hat Directory Sever 9.0?
* 7.4.3. Enabling TLS/SSL in the Directory Server, Admin Server, and Console
Environment
- Red Hat Directory Server (RHDS) 9.1
