How can the MaxConnectionsInUseCount be less than ConnectionCount?

Issue

  • If ConnectionCount represents the total number of Created + Idle connections in the pool, how can it be higher then the MaxConnectionsInUseCount?
  • Is JBoss EAP creating more connections then it needs?
  • If JBoss EAP creates connections as necessary and reuses idle connections from the pool, shouldn't the ConnectionCount be equal to MaxConnectionsInUseCount at its peek?
