Why is "gitconfig" file not provided with Git package ?
Issue
- Git package is installed on RHEL6 System. But it doesn't provide
/etc/gitconfigfile.
# rpm -q git
git-1.7.1-3.el6_4.1.x86_64
# ls -l /etc/gitconfig
ls: cannot access /etc/gitconfig: No such file or directory
- How to configure and save personalized Git settings in RHEL6 ?
