What is the significance of Messages Added parameter for JMS destinations

Issue
- We would like to understand what does Messages Added parameter reflect
Resolution
The Messages Added parameter keeps increasing and reflects the total number of messages added till now.
On the admin-console. Under the 'JMS Destinations-> Topics' below parameters are seen.
Messages in Topic
In Delivery
Messages Added
Messages Scheduled

Test this

In the first iteration add 5 messages to the topic.
Under the 'JMS Destinations-> Topics' tab, statistics would be
Messages in Topic : 0
In Delivery
Messages Added : 5
Messages Scheduled -
Introduce a consumer for the topic.Under the 'JMS Destinations-> Topics' tab statistics would be
Messages in Topic : 0
In Delivery
Messages Added : 0
Messages Scheduled -
Now for the second iteration , remove the consumer and again add 4 messages to the topic
Under the 'JMS Destinations-> Topics' tab, the statistics would be
Messages in Topic : 0

Messages Added : 9
Messages Scheduled -
Introduced the consumer and consume these 4 messages. Under the 'JMS Destinations-> Topics' tab , statistics would be
