deploying a jar which contains filename using german umlauts throws an exception

Issue

  • We have a war file that contains files with german umlauts in their name; example: "Übersicht.jpg" (and others)

When deploying this to EAP 6 we get:

07:35:59,125 ERROR [org.jboss.msc.service.fail] (MSC service thread 1-1) MSC000001: Failed to start service jboss.deployment.unit."test.war".STRUCTURE: org.jboss.msc.service.StartException in service jboss.deployment.unit."test.war".STRUCTURE: JBAS018733: Failed to process phase STRUCTURE of deployment "test.war"
