How does Red Hat handle ITAR or other export controls on data that support requests?
What is ITAR?

Resolution

ITAR is an acronym for "International Traffic in Arms Regulations" and is intended to address specific weapons systems. Any Red Hat product used in these systems falls under ITAR export controls. For more information on ITAR, please see http://www.pmddtc.state.gov/regulations_laws/itar.html

At this time, Red Hat cannot accept ITAR controlled material. We ask that any diagnostic data uploaded to a Red Hat support case via the Red Hat Customer Portal or Red Hat Support's dropbox ftp have any restricted, identifiable information removed before transmitting. This should be done in accordance with local security polices and controls.
