Data transfer between disks of Windows VM hosted in Red Hat KVM is very slow
Issue
- RHEL server is hosting Windows VM (KVM)
- Windows guest has 2 disks (C and D) exported from local disk of host
- Copying between C and D is slow (4-5MB/s)
- The IDE driver is used for VM disk
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
