Why do I see 'There are no active Storage Domains in the relevant Data-Center' error when I try to add a virtual disk to a VM?

Issue

  • Using a user with "ClusterAdmin" role on a RHEV cluster, when I try to add a virtual disk to a VM I get the following error message on the "Add Virtual Disk" dialogue:
There are no active Storage Domains in the relevant Data-Center.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.2.
