Intel wireless card fails initialization if the RF kill switch is enabled
Issue
- Intel wireless card fails initialization if the RF kill switch is enabled
- If you enable the "WLAN/LAN-Switching" in BIOS (which you probably want if you deal with a lot of clients using both WLAN/LAN), the driver doesn't seem to initialize correctly if you have a network-cable attached.
- This is seen on several models of HP EliteBook with Intel Wireless 7000 wi-fi cards
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.5 and earlier
- Intel Corporation Wireless card using
iwlwifidriver
