Unable to set up printers using system-config-printer in RHEL

Issue

I tried to setup printers but I get the following error:

# system-config-printer
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/share/system-config-printer/system-config-printer.py", line 28, in <module>
    import gtk.glade
ImportError: No module named gtk.glade

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.2
  • system-config-printer-1.1.16-17.el6
