Is it possible to tunnel UDP traffic (such as SNMP) over SSH?
Issue
- I wish to create an SSH tunnel from a client system to a server which tunnels SNMP traffic, however SSH tunnels only support TCP.
- I need to tunnel UDP over TCP.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- SNMP client which only supports UDP
- SNMP server which only supports UDP
- Security requirement to encrypt SNMP where SNMPv3 is not supported
