AAP 2.6 Controller jobs fails with error "PermissionError: Failed to create secret for container group default because additional service account role rules are needed"

Issue

  • Jobs fails with secrets "<secret name>" is forbidden: User "system:anonymous" cannot get resource "secrets" in API group " in the namespace "<namespace>" after upgrading the AAP Operator version.

  • Upgrade to AAP 2.6 RPM-based installation broke our Kubernetes integrations for running jobs in instance groups. Jobs are ran against Instance Groups that are using various Kubernetes clusters in the environment for job pods to execute on.
