All the Single-host report job tasks are failing with error 'Process exited with an unknown status: pid xxxxx exit xx' when Insights On-Prem is enabled

Issue

  • In Red Hat Satellite 6.18, whether the issue from JIRA SAT-41513 is visible or not, and if visible, even after it is fixed, the newly invoked Single-host report job tasks take a long time to process and ultimately get stuck in a paused state.

  • From Administer --> Inventory Upload menu, if triggering a Generate and upload report action, that triggers a Generate report job task and is affected by the same issue.

  • The problem is only visible on Red Hat Satellite 6.18 instances with the Insights On-Prem feature enabled for Red Hat Lightspeed integration.
