AAP Containerized container exit code explained

Issue

  • In Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.5 Containerized environments, administrators may encounter service interruptions, startup failures, or installation errors. When troubleshooting, the following symptoms are typically observed:

    -Services managed via systemctl --user show a failed or activating (flapping) state.

    • Container processes terminate unexpectedly.

    • Checking container status via podman ps -a reveals specific numeric Exit Codes (e.g., Exited (137), Exited (126), Exited (1)).
