Custom named service failed to start after updating bind package in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After performing an OS update, the named2 service (named-2nd-chroot.service) fails to start. Restoring previous configuration files did not resolve the issue. The service status shows a symbol lookup error, indicating a mismatch between the /usr/sbin/named2 binary and its linked libraries.
