User namespace isolation failure with buildah-ns task in OpenShift Pipelines 1.20

Issue

  • User namespace isolation is not working as expected with the buildah-ns task in OpenShift Pipelines 1.20.
  • The buildah-ns task fails with the below mentioned error:
Error: reading ID mappings from "/proc/0/uid_map": open /proc/0/uid_map: no such file or directory

Environment

  • Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 (RHOCP)
  • Red Hat OpenShift Pipelines 1.20
