HCOMisconfiguredDescheduler alert firing persists after applying devEnableEvictionsInBackground in RHOCP 4
Issue
- When both the OpenShift Virtualization and the Kube Descheduler operators are installed, the HCOMisconfiguredDescheduler alert fires continuously.
- Following the alert runbook to add the
spec.profileCustomizations.devEnableEvictionsInBackground: trueconfiguration to the KubeDescheduler custom resource correctly triggers a restart of the descheduler pod with the required--feature-gates=EvictionsInBackground=trueflag. - However, despite the descheduler being correctly configured, the
HCOMisconfiguredDescheduleralert does not clear and continues to fire.
