Error "ENODEV: No such device" happens with Assisted Installer

Issue

  • Installation with Assisted Installer stops after some time and fails in the middle.
  • In the event log, a message appears that the target disk for coreos-installer is missing.

    This host failed its installation.
    Failed - failed after 3 attempts, last error: failed executing /usr/bin/nsenter [--target 1 --cgroup --mount --ipc --pid -- coreos-installer install --insecure -i /opt/install-dir/master-XXXXXXXXX.ign --copy-network /dev/sdb], Error exit status 1, LastOutput "Error: mounting device /dev/sdb3 on /tmp/coreos-installer-XXXXX Caused by: ENODEV: No such device Resetting partition table Error: install failed".
