Assign multiple Content Views to hosts in different Lifecycle Environments
Issue
-
Below are different inconsistency issues observed while assigning multiple content views with different lifecycle environments.
Assigning a host multiple content views, i.e, using two different content views in two different environments.
Example:
Name: production/RHEL9 Description: Name: Development/Elasticsearch Description: Elasticsearch -
Issue 1:
Navigate to Satellite WEB UI --> Content --> Content Types --> Errata --> click on Installable errata --> select any errata example
RHSA-2025-12872--> Now you will get Apply to Content Hosts --> Limit environment exampleDevelopment.-
This view currently displays multiple content views and multiple hosts across various lifecycle environments, most notably, hosts assigned to
Production, even when you’ve filtered for a specific environment. -
Since you've filtered the Lifecycle Environment to Development (for the “Other RHEL Content-view”), any hosts assigned to Production should not be visible here.

-
Issue 2:
Satellite WEB UI --> Hosts --> All Hosts --> use filter lifecycle_environment = Development.
- The view displays multiple content views and hosts across various lifecycle environments yet it doesn’t show all the environments assigned to each host in the display.
