Upgrade to RHOCP 4.19 waiting on network over 30 minutes which is longer than expected

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • An upgrade to 4.19 is stuck waiting on the network operator:

    $ oc get clusteroperator network
    NAME VERSION AVAILABLE PROGRESSING SINCE STATUS
    version 4.xx.yy True True 68m Working towards 4.19.y: 755 of 920 done (82% complete), waiting on network over 30 minutes which is longer than expected

  • The ClusterVersion Operator reports an UnhandledError while the Network ClusterOperator is updating:

    $ oc logs -n openshift-cluster-version deploy/cluster-version-operator
    <...>
