Dmesg log flooded with 'EDID block 0 is all zeroes' messages.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Messages related to EDID(Extended Display Identification Data) are flooding in the logs after updating the system to RHEL 9.6. Note: same message is reported in RHEL 9.5 kernel as well, but only once.

[  798.540602] EDID block 0 is all zeroes
[  808.780627] EDID block 0 is all zeroes
[  819.020698] EDID block 0 is all zeroes
