Virtual Machine pauses with I/O error when doing Discards to 4K Storage/Disks
Issue
- Virtual Machines pause with I/O error (EINVAL) when issuing discard commands.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.x
- Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.x
- Red Hat OpenShift Virtualization 4.x
- Underlying Storage has 4K disks sectors, while VM is presented with 512 bytes disks sectors.
- Portworx Storage (Block)
