dns_v4_first parameter of squid package is obsoleted from version 5.

Issue

  • Customer uses squid-5.5 and sets dns_v4_first parameter in /etc/squid/squid.conf file. The following messages output in /var/log/messages file.

    [root@test squid]# cat squid.conf
    ...
    dns_v4_first on
    ...
    [root@test ~]# grep "ERROR" /var/log/messages
    Dec 30 09:57:54 teset squid[228395]: 2024/12/30 09:57:54| ERROR: Directive 'hierarchy_stoplist' is obsolete.
    Dec 30 09:57:54 test squid[228395]: 2024/12/30 09:57:54| ERROR: Directive 'dns_v4_first' is obsolete.
