Issue

  • While attempting to use the SystemTap example script mmanonpage.stp, the script fails to run, under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6:
$ /usr/share/doc/systemtap-1.6/examples/memory/mmanonpage.stp 
semantic error: no match while resolving probe point kernel.trace("mm_page_allocation")
semantic error: no match while resolving probe point kernel.trace("mm_page_free")
Pass 2: analysis failed.  Try again with another '--vp 01' option.
