Desktop applications not displayed in a grid when gnome-shell-extension-dash-to-panel is enabled

Issue

Pressing the Super key twice in quick succession is supposed to show a search bar at the top, open windows in a line under it and a list of available applications in a grid below this.
In RHEL 9.5, applications are not displayed and sometimes the application names are displayed but not the icons.
