How to stop services from dumping log messages into the journal?

Issue

• Is there a way where we can filter logs from a service, that is running as a systemd service, from reaching journald?
• We have a service that is flooding journald with messages, and we cannot lower the application journaling rate.
• The service is triggering certain warning lights because its writing too many messages into journald.
