How to customize HAProxy parameters and make it permanent for RGW in Red Hat Ceph 5 onwards?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • In a Ceph cluster running with RGW (RADOS Gateway) and HAProxy as Ingress, is it possible to customize the default haproxy.cfg options?
  • Although it is possible to customize these parameters using the /var/lib/ceph/<cluster-fsid>/haproxy.<daemon-id>/haproxy/haproxy.cfg file, it is not permanent, because if the daemon is deleted, the configuration is lost. How to make it permanent across daemon redeploy?

Environment

  • Red Hat Ceph Storage (RHCS)
    • 5.x
    • 6.x
    • 7.x
