Issue

  • Duplicate entry exists in /etc/fstab.

  • Encountering an error during the booting process.

systemd-fstab-generator[54905]: Failed to create mount unit file /run/systemd/generator/some_mountpoint.mount, as it already exists. Duplicate entry in /etc/fstab?
systemd[54910]: /usr/lib/systemd/system-generators/systemd-fstab-generator failed with exit status 1.
  • When executing the command mount -av or when attempting to mount the file systems manually, we encounter following error:
mount: /dev/mapper/vg-lv is already mounted or /test busy
