Issue

  • Running yum update shows Connection Timeout on systems registered to Red Hat Customer Portal.

    Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms':
    - Curl error (28): Timeout was reached for https://cdn.redhat.com/content/dist/rhel8/8/x86_64/appstream/os/repodata/repomd.xml [Operation timed out after 30000 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received]
    
  • Getting below error when running yum update:

    Red Hat Enterprise Linux - Novartis Corporate YUM repository for RHEL 8 BaseOS (TEST)                                       0.0  B/s |   0  B     02:00
    Errors during downloading metadata for repository 'TIS-repo-TEST-BaseOs':
    - Curl error (28): Timeout was reached for http://example.com/test-repo-base/repodata/repomd.xml [Connection timed out after 30000 milliseconds]
    Error: Failed to download metadata for repo 'TEST-repo-TEST-BaseOs': Cannot download repomd.xml: Cannot download repodata/repomd.xml: All mirrors were tried.
