Existing etcd backup cronjobs fail after upgrading to 4.14, stating "GLIBC_2.32' not found"

Issue

After performing a version upgrade, previously existing cronjobs for etcd backups scheduled to occur at regular intervals do not complete. When looking at the error output when these cronjobs run, the following can be read:

oc: /lib64/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.32' not found (required by oc)
