LVMCluster is failing to create a volume group "device is too small" in RHOCP 4

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Unable to create volumeGroup vg1: "failed to create volume group vg1 cannot use /dev/sdX; device is too small"

    $ oc get lvmclusters.lvm.topolvm.io -o jsonpath='{.items[*].status}' -n openshift-storage
    
    Error on node openshift-storage/node-xxxx-yyyy in volume group openshift-storage/vg1: failed to create/extend volume group vg1; failed to create volume group vg1. exist status 5: Cannot use /dev/sdX; device is too small (pv_min_size)
