RHACS network graph incorrectly identifies intra-cluster traffic as external

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

After registering a secured cluster, the network flows displayed in the network graph window show unexpected connections to external entities. Also, some of the flows expected between internal services and pods are not present.

Environment

This issue occurs in a cluster configured with Service and/or pods IP subnets which do not belong to a standard private IP range (RFC 1918).
This can be the result of a manual cluster deployment parameter, or because the underlying cloud provider uses non-standard "pseudo private" IP ranges to overcome the IPv4 shortage.
