VM fails to start with FailedCreatePodSandBox error after adding a vlanID to the NetworkAttachmentDefinition using a OVN localnet network

Solution In Progress - Updated -

Issue

  • We want to add a vlan ID to some NetworkAttachmentDefinitions (NADs) in different namespaces. All NADs are using the same OVN localnet bridge mapping.
  • We have stopped all workloads using the NADs, deleted the NADs and created them again with the new vlanID configuration.
  • When starting the VMs, some of them fail to start while others start correctly.

Environment

  • OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) 4.15
  • OpenShift Virtualization 4.15
  • OVN-Kubernetes
  • OVN secondary network with localnet topology
