OpenShift Console Pods Constantly Redeploying
Issue
- This issue has been observed after installation of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.16 and also in the Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS 4.19, more specifically on 4.19.11.
- After installation of the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4.16, it is observed that the console
podskeeps getting redeployed frequently with severalreplicasetsalso continuously being recreated. The same is observed in a running Red Hat OpenShift Service on AWS 4.19. -
This will cause the generation and deployment.kubernetes.io/revision
annotationof the consoledeploymentwith high numbers:deployment.kubernetes.io/revision: "83094" generation: 83099 -
Messages like the following are continously shown in the console
deploymentresource:message: ReplicaSet "console-xxxxxxxxx" is progressing. reason: ReplicaSetUpdatedmessage: ReplicaSet "console-yyyyyyyyyy" has successfully progressed. reason: NewReplicaSetAvailable -
Messages like the following are continuously shown in the console-operator
podlogs:SyncLoopRefreshProgressing InProgress changes made during sync updates, additional sync expectedtelemetry config error: HTTP request failed with status '429 Too Many Requests'SyncLoopRefreshProgressing InProgress working toward version 4.x.x, 1 replicas available
