Issue

  • When updating the mdadm package from mdadm-4.2-8.el8 to mdadm-4.2-14.el8_10 the error below is printed:
mdadm Value <value> cannot be set as name. Reason: Not POSIX compatible. Value ignored.
  • This same issue occurs after updated the mdadm package from mdadm-4.2-9.el9 up to mdadm-4.2-14.el9_4.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
    • mdadm-4.2-14.el8_10
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9
    • mdadm-4.2-12.el9_4 through mdadm-4.2-14.el9_4.x86_64
