OpenShift VMWare IPI new machines stuck in Provisioning state in RHOCP 4

Issue

  • OpenShift machines are stuck in Provisioning state.
  • machine-api-controller pod logs shows below error:
2024-06-01T00:09:46.023277028Z E0601 00:09:46.023264       1 controller.go:329]  "msg"="Reconciler error" "error"="cxx-lab-01-lxxkv-worker-0-crhcb: reconciler failed to Create machine: Memory (RAM) size (65546) 
is invalid."
  • Why are Machine resources not able to reach Running state and get stuck in Provisioning state?
