"no supported cipher suite found" applying the APIServer CR in RHOCP 4.

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Is it possible to apply the following ciphers to the apiserver?

    TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256
    TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256
    TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305
    TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
    TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305
    TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
    TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384
    TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256

  • When applying them, errors are received indicating that the ciphers in spec.tlsSecurityProfile.custom.ciphers are unsupported:

    Error "Invalid value: []string{"TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256", "TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256", "TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305", "TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384", "TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_CHACHA20_POLY1305", "TLS_ECDHE_ECDSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384", "TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_GCM_SHA384", "TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256"}: no supported cipher suite found
